I was very inspired to make this shawl when sandyknits88 walked into the Knitting Garage at Stickles in Rhinebeck wearing hers. Click on this link to Sandy‘s shawl.

I want to knit up my shawl with a color combination as close to Sandy’s as I can find and since I did not have many of the color sun my stash I ended up buying a bunch of unicorn tails.
This is what I have come up with:

MC Tosh Charcoal
CC1 Tosh Death by Elocution
CC2 Tosh Antler
CC3 Squoosh Fiberarts Celeste
CC4 Tosh Arctic
CC5 Tosh Edison Bulb
CC6 Tosh Neon Peach
CC7 Tosh Scout Wash
CC8 Malabrigo Lettuce then switched to Katja yarn from Costa Rica

7.22. Section one finished. This pink is not exactly what I had in mind, but was the closest available to what I wanted. I like the color on its own, but am not so sure about it next to the Charcoal. I almost unraveled it, but it is growing on me and will have to be seen in context with the other colors.

I am not liking the Green as CC8. It looks rather dull with the charcoal. I will switch it out with a brighter Neon Green I have in my stash. I will leave the first row , but tink back rows 23 and 24 of section 8.
