Another gift for Christmas in July in a lovely soft mohair.
I am working a simple double knit for extra warmth and smoothness.
Cast on on #7 needle with two strands 100 stitches.
Worked first round on #6 needle working the knit/ purl pairs using the English method for the knits and the Continental method for the purls.
Then I switch to #4 needle for the remainder of the knitting until two rows before the bind off.
It is nice and squishy soft. Both sides are a smooth stockinette stitch except for the bloom of the mohair.
I was ready to connect the two layers at random points, but there is no need as the fuzzy yarn meshes together in a beautiful squishy double layer.

To finish, I switched to #6 needle in the last round, then #7 needle to ktog the knit and purl stitch pairs all around and finally bind off.
