Using thinner yarn than the pattern calls for and smaller needles as the recipient has very small hands :)
I did the decreases for both the hands as well as the thumb a little different, because it bothered me that I would have stitches left over at the end of the row and I also like to have the decreases line up neatly.

Alternate method for steps 11. and 12. hand decreases

1. (k5,k2tog) 5x -30sts left (k4,k2tog) 5x -25 sts left (k3, k2tog) 5x -20sts left (k2,k2tog) 5x-15 sts left

2. (k1,k2tog) 5x -10 sts left k2tog 5x- 5sts left

Alternate method for step 5. thumb decrease

1. k2tog all around -8 sts left
