The yarn was a gift for my birthday from my son Richard (as a bartender he is making great tips which are supposed to pay for his tuition and other expenses). WOW, what a yarn! It is sooo soft. I am still pondering what to use it for. When I was looking for a suitable pattern I checked out the store’s website for pattern suggestions. OMG that yarn is EXPENSIVE; I would not have bought it for myself, but am so happy to have received it as a gift. This cowl may be the right simple pattern to show off the beauty of the yarn. Since it is hand spun and hand dyed it has lovely variations both in thickness as well as in color.
I am happy with the outcome. The yarn is very soft around my neck; keeps me nice and warm. When I wear it, it feels as if my son is giving me an extra gentle hug!
