The yellow Malabrigo yarn was given to me by my DIL with the request to knit a hat for her husband ( my son).
I suggested various patterns to Gerry and he choose this one which meant looking through my stash for a good match both in color and weight for the CC.

Using the Ullcentrum and kid Haze together is still a little lighter than the Malabrigo at 87g per 210 yard compared to 100g per 210 yard. Adding two strands of the Kid Haze would make it exactly the same weight as the Malabrigo, but working stranded knitting with three strands of one and one strand of the other color seems a bit too much….
That’s why I went back to check my stash and found the Chelsea Silk which is a better match and I switched rather than restarting.

I like how this is coming along; and so fast on account of holding the MC in the left and the CC in the right hand.

I worked two extra rounds finishing with 13 sts instead of 26. I like it better when the top is a bit more smooth.

End-result: I like how it came out and so do my son and his wife ; applause all around.
