Thinking “why not go all German”, I used the German Twisted Cast on.
Also after the initial few rows, the knit seemed a bit loose on #6 ‘s and I switched to #5.
The ribbed cuff is 6.5” total length so it can be flipped over.

I have some black sport weight yarn and will knit the tuna fish in fair isle around the hat; just one continuous row of three tunas in a good contrasting color.
The plan is:
Work ribbed cuff
Work in st st with tuna 2, k2, tuna 1, k2, tuna 2
Then st st to decreases and work decreases, crown in Wuppertal pattern.
Side note: Wuppertal is very close to my hometown Düsseldorf. heart
