I finished the knitting on this the day I started it! That’s the first time I’ve ever done that. I love this pattern for fast, cute hats.

On the C1 row of the pattern, when you pick up the stitch, don’t knit. Purl instead. The stitches stand up better, and look closer to the pattern. This is the second time I’ve done this hat, and I’ve done those both knitted and purled now. Purls suit my tastes better.

Washed and blocked it that night, then bought the ribbon and added it the next day. One note on this yarn: the red is a little bleedy. Combine, wash, and block carefully, or you’ll get some red staining.
