The challenge for wk5 was to learn a new stitch….crocodile stitch, never done it before.
Making myself a pair of slippers with three rounds of crocodile stitch as toppers.
So hard to take a picture of your own foot!
Depending on where you start the ball of Harlequin you will get a different colour slipper.
Basic slipper base Pattern: US Terms 5mm hook
Magic circle
R1: 12dc into circle sl st to complete round
R2: 2dc in each st, SOS t to complete round. (24sts.)
R3 to 10: continue to do as many rows as needed to cover the front of your foot, reaching the front of your leg.
For me size 4/5 shoe size I did 10 rows from start to finish from the magic circle…bigger foot will need more rows.
R11 to 15: work 20sts only, turning for each row and working back and forth until the back is long enough for your foot, for mine 4/5 size shoe I worked 5 rows of 20 sts.
Sew or crochet the back of the slipper tog.
