Cast on 48 stitches using 4.00mm and M1.
Change to 3.75 and rib 2x2 to end of row and place marker. Rib 11 more rounds. Change needles back to 4.00mm and knit 1 row.
Add C1 to M1 and Work pattern chart and cut C1.

Finished the first pattern this afternoon. Doing the leg now.

Rib. 12 total rounds
1 knit 1 row in grey
19 pattern rows
Knit 1 row in red cut red

33 rounds.: 11.5cm now Another 31 rows needed to the heel (64 rounds)

Normal flap heel then gusset 22 plus 1 already knit for first round.

Start left foot - from 22+1 for gusset knit down to round 62 for toe, check length on 62 – then do star toe. Do k2tog at end of each quarter on row 1 then every other round until 28 sts then on every round until 2 on each needle. Thread wool through all 8 stitches on needles, pull through and fasten off.

Sock - Right shorter
Knit Red but 3 rows shorter as it is the toes that are shorter, not the foot itself. It worked pretty well. Must do just one toe in the contrast colour like this in future.
