This yarn is too white for his “weathered tartan.” I am going to have to find beige wool, Nuts

Changed pattern choice and yarn. These are toe up, which is more customized. Planning on casting on today.

Nothing seems to be working the way I envisioned. Perhaps I will just make a basic pair this time and worry about fancy ones later. Looks like I am going to go top down.

These socks will be the death of me. I am going to knit the basic Patons sock and be done with it. Top down, cable cuff. I can get fancy another time. I need these made.

OK, back to the original pattern. Modifications had to be made for size. But, one sock finally finished. Casting on second sock today.

Trying to squeeze out a 3rd sock from the leftovers. He can rotate the socks as he wears them. Less wear and tear on 2 socks. That is the idea. If I have to buy another skein I might as well buy 2 and knit the 4th sock.
