Notes

A little too big for what I need so reduced my crochet hook and most measurements by about 1”. Crochet is such a versatile method and I felt that there were just too many seams so I decided to add 2 stitches for turning chain, to the total stitch count for left back and right and work in one piece to the armholes then worked each section separately, joining the shoulder seams with a sc row. I then picked up the stitches from around the armholes (leaving the 8 armhole stitches between side and back unworked - see picture 4). I then worked down the sleeves (as opposed to up) - therefore finishing on the cuff and working the backward sc as part of the sleeve (saving another thread being added)

I then added button/button hole bands so that I could get an accurate measurement for the hood.

I saw the hood had caused many nightmares for people so made it to measure - not starting the back seam instruction until it fitted from halfway on buttonhole band to centre back, then started the decreases. Very easy, very sweet and just the right size.
