Saw this bag and, even though I’m still a beginner, decided it the concept looked simple enough to modify to make it more small backpack/purse like than goodie bag size. Didn’t change much. Just added 2 rounds to the bottom and I’m still working out the height.
Also because I’m working from my giant, free, mystery yard hoard stash, half of my yard I have no clue how much there was or what brands. So I“m changing up the color pattern a bit too.
UPDATE: The bag part is finished! Yet my progress bar says only 90% you say? Well, see that strip on the chair? It’s because I’m playing around with an idea for backpack like straps. We’ll see if it works or not. If not, the draw string is thick and long enough to use as a strap.
Either way, I’m really happy with how it turned out! I’ve been told not bad for a month in from learning. :)
*FINISHED NOTES!!!!**
I got the straps on! And I found a light wooden lid from an old round box I had lying around and it fit inside perfect to give it a good solid bottom. At least till I can find something better. But it works pretty decent. The picture with me holding it looks a litttle funny because I have my folder of square patters rolled up in it. But I’m really happy with how this turned out! It’s going to be my project bag for now. Something to carry my yarn and current workings in about town.
