I’m using yarn I dyed just for her……..pattern is in Finnish, and someone gave me a translation, so I’m crossing my fingers that I’ll get it right. So far so good (holding my breath).

Notes:

HPL is pretty easy overall. I do seem to have an issue with the strips curling up, and the longer the strips, the more they curl. I use a guide string up one side to keep it from getting too crazy.

I had to disassemble all the strips in the shawl the first time around, because I was consistently 3 stitches off, from misreading the instructions.

It’s pretty cool overall. I must warn that the shawl is very, very wide and not very deep, but it is gorgeous anyway. Mom loves it--or she will, when I finally finish it and send it to her. She loved the WIP.
