Tried this shape earlier, but with a totaly different construction, and different yarn weight ect… Didn’t really work out.

Then suddenly today I had these granny triangles in front of me, and while talking to my daughter inspiration struck me: easy !

Nearly done with first one, just a few adjustments to heel portion. General shape looks great, just like an actual babouche ! :-D

May 15th: first prototype (emerald and brown) was nice enough. Now trying a few changes with red and green to try to get it even better :-P

May 28th: pattern written down, need to finish 2nd one, take in-progress pics, add a leather sole…then find a couple testers and a new pattern should be added to the Ebook collection soon. Exciting !!!

I love the final look of this Babouche. Somewhere between an actual morrocan babouche and the pointy shoes of Louis XIV :-D

May 30th: Both babouches are done. They are soooo comfy to wear while watching tv. Perfect ! :-D
Added some pics, and one of the blue/brown sample, to show the differences between try 2 and 3 (try 1 was a different construction, turned out ugly).
Differences are a different size of hook to achieve better fit, and altogether different heel shaping. It was worth it :-D
