WiseHilda Fair Isle Bootcamp Fingerless Gloves
They dearly need blocking, but I quite like them. They are absolutely no good for typing, though.
I'm past this now, but love the way it's turning out.
Digging the different colours, and I think I'll have enough for a third mitten... Totally normal. ;)
About half-way through the second mitten, and because I'm low on the blue, I'm switching out the colours on one section to be mostly gray instead of mostly blue.
I do really appreciate the reverse side of the colourwork.
I think the hidden pinky is making me sad.
If I fold it back, I'm happier, and that's 4cm.
It's okay if I don't bend at all and don't need to access my fingers (e.g., not so useful for working in a cold office, probably fine for walking in the cold).
If I bend my wrist you can see all the extra fabric around the wrist area. It's snug around my forearm because it goes so deep into it. And too tall on my fingers. Thumb is fine, but I have really pull it down to get the thumb in right.
Again, not bending is okay, but not really usable that way.
getting there
I really like the pattern with the squares, I may use that in another pair.
A teenie tiny stitch marker (only need one) makes me so happy when I see it. Worth knitting on these tiny needles (totally normal needles). :D
I had to tear out a bit and remember to increase for the thumb. D'oh. Enjoying this ever shifting look and feel.
I am quite delighted by the glitch so far. More glitch coming on the other side of the thumb gusset.
The glich is starting, whee! I'm interested to see where this goes. :)
It's pretty, even though it's not the pattern I designed.
See those subtle lines? Not in use! :D Maybe on the second glove, ha ha.
