Sometimes you knit to show someone how much they’re worth to you. People you love get the good stuff. Baby clothes that’ll get outgrown in minutes. Socks. Black lace.

And sometimes, when you’re a process knitter who craves a challenge, the people you love the most are worth sixteen feet of garter stitch.

9/29: I have no idea why I thought it was a good idea to start this on size 5 needles. Frogged and restarted on 7s, which is giving me a much more comfortable fabric.

1/3: That’s about one-third of the scarf hanging off my fridge. Loking good so far, and it’s looking like I might even have more yarn than I need.
