WEIRD ARITHMETIC/DESIGN!!

18” back - 2 x10” fronts and then add button bands. And yet not double breasted. Should have paid more attention to the other project with pictures for this pattern and how it hung on the dummy. The idea might make sense if I was working on a cardi for a behemoth like myself, but I’m already concerned that friend with 30” bust is going to be drowned in the S/M without adding extra bust inches.

By the time I realised, the back was already done, so I had the option to keep going as per the pattern, or try to take out half a pattern or a whole pattern each side, in which case I still might end up with the back and front not matching, and I’d have the problem of getting the curve of the collar right, while making sure the shoulders were wide enough, so I’m going with the pattern as designed, but I have reservations about how it’ll pan out.

Ball 12 for nerdy hookers house cup

Used double crochet for seams. This wouldn’t work at all if the yarn wasn’t really soft, but since it is I’m hoping it’ll be okay.

Have to admit to being in two minds about it. It’s quicker than sewing. It uses far more yarn (hence second ball in two days) and it gives a sturdy seam.

But it’s bulky. Just not sure, but I’m not about to do them over again…
