FUBAR

I made the arm holes the height the pattern said. I did the increases on the sleeves like it said. (I did them both at the same time to be sure I got the increases to match.) I measured the length of the sleeve against hubby and he decided it needed at least another three full patterns, so I kept going, though when one of my balls of yarn ran out, I switched to working up one sleeve at a time. Once the first sleeve was three patterns longer, I checked the length against hubby’s arm. That was fine, so I cast off.

And THEN I tried to match the sleeve to the hole.

NO WAY! NO HOW was that skinny sleeve going to fit that hole. Now maybe a stretchier cast off might have helped, and I know the cotton milk doesn’t have the same give the original yarn would have had, but seriously…

Don’t think it’s worth unravelling. The yarn tangles up on itself enough straight off the ball. Reusing it once it lost its original twist would be a nightmare.
