The gauge does not match. I have 20 st. instead of the requires 18.
Normally it wouldn’t be a problem, because most of the time I made my own simple pattern or I re-mathed found pattern.
But this pattern is completly new to me. Top-Down. Learn!
I’m looking so forward to it.

My plan: Use the XL size to obtain the right size later on.

1. learning step:
cast-on:
My normal cast-on was awful for the garter stitch collar. I looked around and used ‘knitting on’ (aufstricken).***

I stick to 236 stitches despite the different gauge, because the collar is long enought.

Picking up the stitches I went right into the middle of the outermost stitch. This looks clean.

Now I try to figure out if the remaining 1 stitch from BO3 counts or nor for the 54 before the first pm. Anyway, the counts on left and right side are not equal. My mind is twisted.
