Not sure when I started the actual knitting…it was maybe a few days ago..but then i was still trying to finish Iliana’s (late) shawl so I didn’t do much more than one pattern repeat.
I know, I know, excuses excuses! well I’m on vacation now with plenty o time to knit, and the only other thing slowing me down is the roughness of the yarn on my hands! hmm!
But i’d estimate I’ve put in 5 hours already.
Sept.
I got the majority of it done, just have to do the straps…looks like at this point i’ll have to put it on hold, which won’t matter with the weather turning cold anyway. bummer.

Maybe it was the unusually warm (50degree) days or just the fact that I felt quilty about not finishing her xmas present yet, but i decided to buckle down and finish those doggone straps!
Now it is blocking and waiting to be tried on by her…I’m hoping it stretches b/c it’s too small right now… :/

It fits her, it looks great! Needs a lining though.
still not sure how much time i put into it, but really it couldn’t have been more than 20, right? >.>
Well, she decided it was too small and see-through for her, and too weird to layer, so she couldn’t really wear it. So I’ve got it now. It definitely makes for a breezy summer shirt, but I really should consider lining it, even with a sheer silk type fabric, so it looks better and gets more wears. The hempathy has a great sharpness to show the texture of the shirt, better than the cotton did for the first one.
Oh, and I didn’t just take back her gift, I switched her -- She now has my original Karma in purple, which is more dense and better fitting for her (whereas this one works great for me!). Win-win!
