Notes

Had to knit three booties, b/c I knit one, it looked ok; then i knit the second one and it was smaller and better. So I knit a third to match the second.

was going to use blue but then the red yarn worked better, so I did “fire-truck red” haha, very masculine…

We decided the cross-over straps looked too girly though, so didn’t knit the straps, but instead knit 2-3 rows up to make a ‘cuff’ or collar for the heel, like tennis shoes would have.

I found some thick elastic and wove them through like shoelaces then knotted the ends to look more finished and not have them fray or slip back through.
Voila!

dont remember exactly when i knit these up, it was around the 21st b/c i was trying to get them done for cousin’s baby shower. didn’t end up going, and finished them the week after…and didn’t send them til Valentines Day…

these are SO quick to make! finishing/embellishing was the longest part (especially b/c i made the straps, then ripped them out to remake the tops, then weave in the laces).
