wow, this little thing is great!

But I second what some ravelers have said about the top of the hat--it doesn’t increase fast enough and is therefore too conical for the top of the head. Start increases sooner to make it lie flatter, and begin the slit sooner than you think you need to-- really!

I finished it in one day, thank goodness…
ok, well, I finished the knitting in one day, then didn’t really know how to crochet so i had to look that up and practice another day…

And I still have to line it. So the finishing will prob. be MORE time than the knitting time. sheesh.

well, i tried lining it, but it was rushed and without much forethought, so I bungled it. I ended up bringing it to my mom, brilliant, clever, wise woman that she is, and she helped me sew it on an actual machine…then gave it back to me to stitch in properly. whew!

rating: the hat knitting itself is piece-o-cake easy! but the lining is quite tricky, in my humble opinion…
