Finished, just in time to wear it on my bday (feb 2)!! So comfy, and warmer than my other knit hat (that i must sheepishly admit that i bought, even though everyone ASKS me if i made it; my friend said i should just say yes, but it’s crocheted, which i can’t even do…though the average viewer does not really know this).

Very quick, very easy knit …pattern is not well written but you can figure it out. Only bad thing is that it seems to be a bit loose…i mean it stays on, but after several hours of wear i notice that its sneaking away from my forehead…maybe my hair’s just too slippery.

oh, and the third pic looks like i’m picking my nose….but i’m not. just laughing.

I WEAR THIS ALL THE TIME.

Feb 16
washed it this weekend for the first time…i made it with 100% wool so i had to be careful not to felt it. duh.
its a bit stiffer now, and now so ‘ accordion-like’ as it originally was.

If I had to make another one ( ha, that makes it sound like I’d be forced to knit! If THAT were torture than I’d gladly be a masochist!),
I’d make the band smaller, because it stretches out too much. I think you cast on ~67 stitches….yeah, I would do maybe 12 fewer, and then be sure to increase up to what the final total is…does that make any sense? I’d need to look at the pattern again to write exact numbers. maybe later….i’m a bit busy trying to not fail architecture school. heh. minor details.
