Pre-block gauge is same as blocked gauge: 25x32 = 4in on US 5
11.8 I want to make the dip a bit smaller, so I started by following the instructions for a larger size, then stopping a bit past the side markers. I love it already but am ready for shorter rows!
Another mod- I don’t like tiny bits of ribbing, so I started the slip stitch pattern for the collar right away, and did an inch of garter for the body
11.10: See updates in this week’s episode of The Handmade Podcast. Did the first decreases
11.11: Super inspired by magthe7th’s quick knitting, I’ll be keeping daily notes! One more decrease row down.
11.12: third decrease done (felt like I knit all night!). Even so, I fid the math and if I do just one decrease a day, I’ll get it done by mid-December (and that’s not even taking into account the fact that rows will only go faster and faster with each decrease.)
11.13: fourth decrease done.
11.14: fifth increase!
11.15: sixth & seventh increase while watching the Gilmore Girls and having dinner with Misty.
11.16: eighth decrease while catching up with Doctor Who and Walking Dead.
11.17: ninth decrease!
11.18: tenth decrease while watching Arrow
11.26 14th decrease in the car on the way to Thanksgiving! Spending the weekend with the gift-recipient, so I won’t be able to knit at all. (Luckily I have a total of 10 hours in the car.)
11.30 15th decrease watching the new Hunger Games.
1.30 When I realized I couldn’t finish it in time, I made a few small Christmas gifts and am giving this to Mom for her birthday.
Have first sleeve halfway done. Have done the math and I need to knit for 6 hours a day for the next three days. And…GO!
2.1. 11:15 am First sleeve: complete! I have all day today and a few hours tomorrow to knit the second sleeve.
2.2 Done! Right after midnight.
