I’m so happy to have finally tried broomstick lace technique! I’ve been avoiding it firstly because I’m no knitter and hence don’t have any knitting needles, and secondly because I thought this technique to be too intricate. To my big surprise, it proved to be relatively simple and fun to use technique, and also the one that produces beautifully textured and fast growing fabric.

As for the lack of knitting needles, and in particular 25 mm needle, right before starting this project I frantically run around the house with the measuring tape, looking for anything that could be used instead (glue stick, toilet paper roll, whiteboard markers, cooking spoons, you name it). Finally, I ended up with a wooden ruler that was just about the right size.
Where there’s a will, there’s a way blush.

Regarding the wrap itself I can only say that it is truly amazing! The only downside is that it’s not visible in its entirety no matter how you wrap it around you shoulders… That’s a shame because with such a superb design, you just want each and every random person on the street to see all the details grin.
