So many photos, I know!
Notes for next time:
None really. I liked this pattern, I think it may not be the most flattering on me because of the straight/tapered style, but I don’t mind. It’s warm and the neckline is flattering.
I love this yarn so much! Would definitely use Owl again for a sweater. I’ve worn it and no pilling, it’s super warm, it’s not itchy.
2/18 - Slow going but a very nice basic sweater. I’m almost finished the first sleeve now. It’s slow because I’m busy not because the pattern is hard!
The neckline doesn’t look as wide until you get the sleeve started, then the sleeve kind of pulls the armhole back into the right shape. Something to think about if you think the neck isn’t as scoopy when you’re partway through.
I knit the neck trim before starting the sleeves so I could see what the neckline looks like. I’m really into wider necklines at the moment and wanted to see how this one fit!
2/23 woo finished! love this. about half a ball of yarn left, possibly less. (so used about 7.75 balls of Owl.) Love owl. this sweater has a great neckline and cool modern fit.
Notes for next time: shorten by one hem length? Kind of wish it was cropped for layering and for dresses. It is a bit saggy in the back but not sure this pattern would look good with waist shaping. (How would that work with the eyelet detailing I wonder?)
10/18/2014 - gave to my sister, and it looks way better on her! She has wider shoulders so the whole sweater hangs better on her frame.
