11/2 casting on for Climb! The pattern isn’t in Ravelry yet but it’s from Jane Richmond’s newest book, Journey. Which is awesome. I’ve wanted to make work socks with red stripes for ages! (Now I also want brown lace-up boots like the model…)

Mods:

• using size 1 needles. Unlike Jane I like a tighter-knit sock, so I’m going to make mine tighter and denser.
• cast on for size m
• did KFB increases instead of m1. I have a hard time ‘making one’ on toe-up socks
• increase to 64 sts for foot, same as other socks I’ve made on this size needle

note to me - placed marker IN first row after turning heel so count that row as the first row of the cuff! So I can make both socks the same height.

Knit 58 rows of cuff AFTER heel and BEFORE white stripes.

Cream toes and cuffs, grey sock and red stripe unless I change my mind when I get to the top - have lots of odds and ends in fun colours!

Finished first sock. So cute. Love these!
