Errata: I’m quite new to charts but in Section B, row 7, right at the end of the row, there is an extra knit stitch after the last yarn-over. Ignore. There should only be 3knit stitches (as per all rows). I know this wouldn’t faze most people but for chart newbies like myself, I thought I might point it out :)
First ever shawl/shawlette!!! Complete excitement here. I’ve never dared to knit much with finer yarns because 1.worried about my wrist-pain flaring up again, and 2. I don’t think I can commit for so long :p
18/09/12: So far so good! Only got to knit for maybe 1.5 hours over two nights, and I’ve finished the st-st section (I’m not a fast knitter that’s for sure). Onto the charts now!! Fingers crossed I don’t need to rip TOO much.
21/09/12: Finished Section A and B, halfway through Section A again. For the last 5 RS rows I have made one silly mistake on each half of the row…and hence been undoing and redoing, undoing and redoing…UGH! This is why I am no good at lace-work…sigh.
23/09/12: halfway through SectionD!! Not long to go! Section D is uber easy to remember so it gives me incentive to keep going.
24/09/12: Blocking now!!! :D
25/09/12: Wore it out today (dried so quickly), and someone asked me where I bought it. WOOT!
I do like this colorway but I’m wondering if the darker parts of the yarn is the look I’m after…oh well…doesn’t matter, not a big deal :)
Koigu is great to knit with. Let’s see how it blocks :)
