This personal yarnbombing will be in the background when I am on Zoom sessions to encourage the use of face masks.

Project Log:
21-NOV-2020 - I almost completed this in one day. Just need to glue the pieces onto the background.

The six letters were done in blue, using a 6.0 mm hook. I used London Kaye’s book for the alphabet, however, I made some modifications. For instance, I crocheted the M and P as continuous pieces, rather than as multiple segments to be glued/sewn together.

I made the background piece (24 sc x 20 rows) holding the RHSS Fair Isle yarn and the white yarn together. I used a 12.0 mm hook.

At the last minute, I decided to add a little face mask (4” x 2”) in the jade color (11 sc x 6 rows), with “ear loops” (12 ch). I used a 5.5 hook.

I temporarily put the yarnbomb together with double sided tape, so I could put it up as soon as possible, but I have since glued the pieces on the background with the hot glue gun I ordered.

28-NOV-2020 - Finished hot gluing this together! The yarnbombing project is now on the face of my file cabinet in my kitchen.
