I started this yarnbombing sign during London Kaye’s “Yarnbombing 101” class offered through Vogue Knitting Live’s virtual event. I was able to get most of it done by the end of the class, including the background (20 sc x 11 rows) and the four letters.

After class, I edged the letters in white and sewed them onto the background and worked in all ends.

I have this hanging in my kitchen, where it will be visible during all my Zoom meetings.

I used the pattern London provided us for her class, but the pattern is also available in her book “Crochet with London Kaye” (Amazon link) and is free on her website londonkaye.com.

Yarns & Hooks Used:

For the background, I used the RHSS Fair Isle yarn held double with the Malachite colorway of the LB Color Made Easy yarn. I used a 12 mm hook.

The four letters were worked in red and blue using a 6.5 mm hook. They were edged in white using slip stitch with a 5.0 mm hook.

I received lots of words of appreciation from folk during my Zoom sessions for having my VOTE yarnbomb in the background.
