I love this pattern but it’s not an exciting named motif. So, I’m thinking of a new name for my project which may or may not be a baby throw. The only problem is I’m not good at naming things. I’m using Caron Simply Soft yarns in yellow (Sunshine 9755) and Soft Blue.
I’m waiting to join after all my motifs are crocheted.
Update: 1-14-15 36 Motifs are finished. Trying to figure out a continuous as you go join for them now. Using a light green yarn for the join.
2-2-15: Joining motifs in green across each roll of six motifs. Simple join of single crochet in each corner and two spaces in the middle of motif with a single crochet in the middle of the range of double crochets. Added photo to show where the single crochets with the three chains between go. I’m not good at writing instructions. Put the motifs with wrong sides together to join across the rolls. It is very easy. Next to figure out the border.
6-22-15: I’ve worked up a really nice border…just winging it as I went along pulling the blue, yellow and green into the border and edging. I’ll try to write up my border and edging. (Note: I forgot I already wrote up how to join the squares using a photo diagram. Click on the diagram photo to see how I joined.)
Now to weave all the ends in and update my photos with the full border and edging.
