Yarn colors: Red and Off White.
I loved this pattern so much I have to make one in red and cream.
You know I love red and white. The only change I have made so far on this pattern from my other one posted eariler is I made the red popcorn centers with five double crochets instead of four. But I’m leaving all the other popcorns with four double crochets so the red centers “pops” just slightly more than the white popcorns.
I use two strands of yarn (red and cream together) to make the four popcorns to join the four squares. Because of the thickest of the yarn I only use three double crochets for the popcorns. It’s difficult to get the yarn colors just right with lightening. The red is really more bright red than dark red.
I gave my “Candy Cane” throw to my cousin this month so I have to crochet another red and white throw. I decided to not use green yarn so it can be displayed all year not just at Christmas.
Edging is simple slip stitch , chain 3 first in spaces first round then single crochet, chain four in spaces second round with red yarn.
