Wasn’t going to do the beads, but I gave in. The yarn is beautiful and does remind me of fog. The beads are not a stark contrast and blend in perfectly. I have no idea where I will use something like this, but I’m glad that I am knitting it.
Clue one: it was going well until I got to row 30, but after I got help from someone in the forum, I got through it. I love the yarn/bead combo. I had no idea that the yarn would look like this when knitted. It does look like fog with shimmering drops.
Clue 2: Easy knit, but time intensive Many beads. I have read that there will be 1,000 knitted in at the end of this clue, with 5 clues to go. Finished clue 2 on 3/1. Had a few problems. Mostly counting, and I had to tink a few stitches, but I’m ready for the next clue. Going tomorrow to get needles with a longer cable.
July 5, 2012 - I let this thing go for a long while. I have worked on it off and on and at this point I am on the last clue. My next row starts my 1,000 bead border, and probably one of the reasons why I have put off finishing it. But I am anxious to see how it looks after it is blocked. Hopefully I will be back by the end of the summer with finished photos!
December 2014- Obviously, I DIDN’T finish by the end of the summer TWO YEARS ago, but Yes I finally picked this up and started working on it again. I only have about 6 rows to go, and it takes about 2 hours to do each row. I will have it finished soon as I don’t plan to put it away
again!!
Jan. 2015 - I uploaded pics of what it looks like semi blocked. Turns out that my table is just too small to fit the top edge across. I didn’t get to block the scallops the way I want either. But I plan to go to a friend’s house and use her table. The yarn is so light that it doesn’t take long to dry.
