September 29, 2024 Swatch Done

I swatched according to the recommendation in the pattern: Just get started and measure what you get after the 4th round.

I’m “right on” with the hook size that I guessed to be right for me and the yarn.

I will undo my swatch and start over again after Tuesday and then use the yarn end from the inside of the ball to make it easier for the yarn to advance.

All done!

I had a good amount of yarn left from the last ball, so I decided to add an “afterthought hoodie”. This is not an official pattern but a guestimate mixed with the yarn that was left. Here is what I did:

• 5 granny stitches on the front, work back, 5 granny stitches on the other front, ending with 1 dc in a space.
• I followed the back-and-forth instructions from the hoodie back section and worked (I think) 26 rows.
• Fold the hoodie section in half and join it following the instructions that are given for the back join.
• End with a row of sc, same as the rest of the cardi.
