The kit included two balls of yarn and patterns for a knitted or crocheted cowl.

I currently have more need for a scarf, so I went looking for knitted scarf patterns by Lena Skvagerson, to still make it a “Lena project”.

Cast on today … I’m thrilled!

A typical intricate-and-smart Lena design, the Leaf of Life scarf features a ribbed pattern stitch with a faux large-cable effect plus a sprinkle of lace, all of it beautifully reversible as you would wish for in a scarf.

The yarn is perfect for the project, with a smooth hand and excellent stitch definition, and the color is refreshing but not exaggerating.

I added one pattern repeat to make my scarf 8” wide instead of the original 6”, just because I like it that way.

Now it will be just a relaxed knit “while supplies last” … I think I will make this my evening knit to wind down on busy days ahead …
