Other Materials:

  • Stuffing
  • tapestry needle, scissors

Yardage Requirements:

  • For the small nest, 6 yds green, 4 yds yellow/blue/pink each.
  • For the large nest, 13 yds green, 12 yds yellow/blue/pink each.

Weave:
For the small nest, weave

  • (2) 2” yellow/blue/pink hexagons each for the eggs
  • (1) 4” green hexagon for the nest

For the large nest, weave

  • (2) 4” yellow/blue/pink hexagons each for the eggs
  • (1) 6” green hexagon for the nest

Assembly:

  • For the nest, weave a piece of yarn all around the green hexagon and pull it in just a little bit to lift the sides and hold the eggs in place. See picture. Secure the yarn and weave in the ends.

  • For the eggs, hold two matching color hexagons together and sew around 5 sides. Stuff lightly, then close the last side. Gently squeeze the puff into egg shape.
