This is a lovely shawl. It is not difficult to knit, just requires attention to detail. The hardest part of it is placing all the beads, but they are worth it.

9-?-15 pattern received and printed.

9-25-15 on row 21. The yarn is not knitting up to show the lavender that I was seeing in the cake. Hopefully the beads will look okay. The beads are little cubes, size 6.

9-30-15 - After having to take out a few rows earlier, I’m now on the second repeat. Not a hard pattern to learn, just hard to see sometimes with so many stitches on needles. I’m using circulars.

10-1-15 - The pattern is growing on me and becoming easier to “see” as I’m knitting. It’s coming right along now.

10-12-15 - I am on row 26 for the third repeat and have discovered there will not be enough yarn to finish this repeat. Instead, I will complete rows 1 thru 15 and bind off. That will be three horizontal rows of beads instead of four.

Being knitted on size 5 needles, this is a very lightweight and open, airy stole. It will look fabulous, I think.

10-14-15 Finished knitting. Not enough yarn to complete three repeats so will have three horizontal rows of beads instead of four. Will block tomorrow to see how it will end up looking.

10-19-15 Blocked and ready to take pins out. This shawl turned out huge for me. Lace weight yarn and 5 needles. It’s 81” x 22.5” pinned. If there was one less pattern repeat, the sizing would be perfect for my gauge.
