I decided to alter this pattern to work in the round, therefore all RS Increase rows are purled. This also means that I won’t be doing the Button/Button Hole Bands. I made one size up to accommodate for this. So far I am happy with my progress.

Started working in stst on the bottom portion
Jan18/14 finally finished the body. I did the 17” stst as recommended in the pattern, found it too short so added 3 pattern repeats of feather and fan followed by 4 rounds of garter and bound off. Tried it on. Too small! Now I don’t know if I want to continue and give this beautiful yarn away or frog it?… Penalty box for some thinking time :|.

Side note: I’m sure this pattern fits others fine, but my middle has been fluctuating, I’ve outgrown the size I cast on :(. Another note, I find the bust in the diagonal yoke isn’t adequate for my sizeable bust. It kind of cuts my bust in half, and not in a good way. Perhaps that is reason enough to frog this project.

Please don’t take my defeat at face value. This pattern would be wonderful for someone with a smaller chest and waist, it’s just not for me. As you can see by picture 2 it looks beautiful. Just doesn’t fit me.
