I fell in love with this pattern so Im going to duplicate it and gift it to my lovely sister. I know it’ll be so airy and ethereal so she will love it.

I started as soon as I got to my sister’s and it took a couple of days to make it plus a few hours for blocking the shawl.

It was really good weather during my visit so I got a very nice sun tan as we were mostly outside (very unique weather for April) hence the blocking took a few hours only.

I started with a lace edge; it took about 3 hours for me to knit it then the main body; I would say about 8 hours if I could sit and knit all the time but there were some other activities destracting me which I didnt mind at all. My little niece helped me a lot and she is modelling in my pics.

I decided to knit another Rock Island in cognac this time and send it to my friend in Germany. She is a crazy sock knitter!! lol
