Just going to take my time with this…

I made the slouchy version and I think I’m going to sew the top down so it doesn’t stick up funny and blow up in the wind.

I wanted a bit of a challenge but not too much, and this was that for me. The pattern is very well done and any screw-ups were my own fault.

Modeled by 10YO who has a large head but it pretty much fits everyone since it is nice and stretchy.

I decided to take out the stitched down bit and block it, to see if that would make it a bit more floppy on its own. It didn’t help much and I’ve decided it looks better if I just fold up the bottom and wear it as a regular beanie.

I like it, but I think it would have worked better generally up a needle size or two for a floppy hat. It IS nice and cozy and warm as it is though, especially with the folded up cuff (my ears get cold when it’s windy, which a lot here).
