Notes

I will be following Sockmatician’s Toe-Ups for sock construction.

Cast on 24 stitches and increased to 60 over 19 rows.
Foot: 62 rows
Leg: 56 rows
Cuff: 12 rows

Instead of the k1, p1 rib in the pattern, I followed the knit and purl stitches of row 8 of the charts, knitting through the back loops. On the three 4-stitch cables, I did k1, p2, k1.

Having finished the first sock, it’s a little snugger than I’d usually go for. The sock is worked over 60 stitches, which is the number I’d usually use for a vanilla sock, but the cables pull things a little tighter. If I make these again (and I probably will, it’s a lovely pattern), I’d use a 2.5 mm needle and/or add a few extra stitches. These are too tight on the leg, so Jamie will have them, even though they will be a little long in the foot.
