Must follow these directions to the tee! Make sure you have the most recent downloaded version. The finished product is actually circular in shape, and not the same shape as what is pictured in the pattern. I have included the pictures for you to reference if you need.

This pattern would receive much better feedback from people and would be much easier to carry out if, after the warning that there have been “several changes”, it would state that the shape of the poncho does change, and there should be an updated photo of the finished project for this pattern! I had to ask questions in the forums about this pattern, and restarted the project several times. With only a few additional details, this pattern would be much more of a success story for others!

My personal touches:

body and trim color changesstarted with color A. Then mc, B, then C.

Edging Trim attach color B into center shell, at the ch-1. chain 2, sk next st, sc. sc sk next st all the way to ch-3, then sc, ch-1, sc in sc, ch-1, sc in next ch-3, ch-1, sk next st, sc. Repeat process, join with sl st at end.

Collar 2 rows sc mc. 1 row color c, 1 row mc, 11 row color A, 1 row mc sc, ch-1, sk next st repeated all around, then 1 row color B sc, ch-1, sk next st all around, with sc’s on this row occuring in the sk-1 space from row below.
