The pattern calls for an I-hook, but I don’t have one so I used an H-hook and kept my tension a bit loose. I think this led to the curling on the edges, as my tension wasn’t quite the same for the horizontal and vertical sections. When I joined them together, the sizes were just a tiny bit off, resulting in a slight rippling to the blanket. But it’s adorable anyway!
