Notes

4-strands held together. To make sure the basket stands on its own, I used the roughest, most scratchy acrylic possible, and kept my tension fairly tight.

For this basket, I created an invisible seam on the sides by combining a standing single crochet and the invisible seam technique from Mr. Micawber’s Recipe for Happiness. I fastened off after each round and used my darning needle to create the final stitch, and I started each round in a different place so that the standing crochet stitches would blend in. It worked great!

The base didn’t need any invisible seaming - the seam doesn’t show up, and I think that’s probably because of the increases.
