19 September 2023 - Completed the back and fronts. The garment size is a little bit smaller than my reference garment. Since the reference garment is already cropped and this design is open at the front I’ll need to consider this a spring/summer garment.
I started on the sleeves as written, but in hindsight since it will be a summer garment I will make it short or medium length sleeves. I would like the sleeve head to be around 54cm on the curve and the pattern is going to be quite narrow as written. Children have slim arms and the original pattern picture looks slim.
I’ll do some math and restart the sleeves.

My plan with the sleeves turned out a bit half baked. I cast on the larger size intending for it to be a shorter sleeve and a bit looser.
If I had done the math vertically I would have realised that following the same increase rate would make a long sleeve anyway because it would be too tight to start decreasing early. As it turns out the larger size sleeve was my size so it is not loose at all, but I stopped short of full length so it is about bracelet length.
I edged the garment in black yarn and made a detachable pin-on bow
