120 stitches wide on gauge 6 on waste yarn
140 rows tall then cast off on waste yarn
(140 rows = 33cm)
Pick up lace at top and ribbing on bottom.
Ribbing 2.5mm needle for 34 rows (84+2) then increase every 12 stitches and bind off on WS.
IMPORTANT NOTE - Every 12 stitch increase feels like not enough increases, the bind off is quite tight. Go for every 8 stitches increase on second piece.
3.25mm needle on lace.
After colourwork, piece is 47cm.
4.24 rows per cm. Therefore 200 rows needed for back.
Sew up the shoulders 6 motifs each side, but on one side we will require buttons.
Gauge after rest - 32 stitches per 10cm, 42 rows per 10cm
Follow instructions for 5ply 34in short sleeve but knit to 34 rows above welt instead of 24 before shaping cap.
