Notes

Finally uploading some good photos, over 2 years later. I just love this shawl - so beautiful, so cozy, so proud of the 100% handspun.

Main color: 6 bands of spider lace; work 6 full repeats, then knit 4 more rows plain stockinette - 331 stitches.

Planning to knit the body in white until I run out of yarn, then use various other handspun for the ombré border. Yarns, top to bottom: white Lincoln/merino cross; silvery pygora; handpainted merino-silk; soft pink BFL; deep pink Wensleydale.

Modified the stripe sequence in the border a bit; changed to last color for final purl row and cast off.

Blocked size: 86” wingspan (!), 28” down center. Total weight: 165g. Used almost every bit of the main color (Lincoln/Merino) and the merino-silk, small amounts of the two pinks.
