Notes

I wanted to make a pair of mitts in the colours of Jap Desserts (the coconut sweets). No pattern to hand so I just set to with a merry whistle, a 4.5mm hook and my enorm stash of cheapo acrylics.

After almost a week the merry whistle had long since disappeared to be replaced by swearing, the acrylics had been frogged to within an inch of their lives and I finished up with these ill-fitting mitts. I still like the colours but they’re not the gorgeous creations that initially existed in my mind. But then, what is?

They are wearable at least.

PS
The picture of Jap Desserts I stole shamelessly from the Oldest Sweet Shop in England, which is in Nidderdale, N. Yorkshire. Hopefully they won’t sue.
