Couldn’t resist this pattern when I saw it!
I’m using up some stash yarn - an unknown ivory 4 ply. I think it might be baby cashmerino but maybe not. It is wool though.
My contrast is by Jellybeansyarn - a merino, cashmere blend in Rose Gold. I have about 30g leftover from a scarf but if it does run out, I still have a full skein tucked away. (Update- I used a fraction under 25g of each colour.)
The stitch and row count is the same as the other hats I’ve made, so I’m going to just go with the same needle size (3.25) and keep my fingers crossed! Edit: decided to stick with 3mm for the whole hat.
I’m going to do a normal cable cast on and work a corrugated rib too.
Here goes!
Finished! It’s a bit smaller than the other hats I’ve made - possibly due to the needle size but it would have looked too open if I’d used 3.25mm.
I adapted the motifs slightly as I was worried they wouldn’t show up with this yarn.
Overall, very happy with the pattern though.
