Notes

“Coco” for a sassy French girl who needs “Ooh la la” wool mittens to keep her hands warm.

Modifications: made the cuff longer, made it stretchier with k2 p2 rib to make sure it holds onto the wrist nice and snuggly.

This is my first stranded color/fair isle/whatever type project. It took me a few tries (and a couple short froggings, and 3-4 dropped stitches) to get into the chart, but halfway through the first mitten I realized it was easiest to hold both colors together in my left hand and just “pick” the the one I needed with the tip of the needle, and it all rolled easily from there.

Then I memorized the pattern and by the second mitten, it was all a piece of cake. Or should I say torte?
